The Bremen Kunsthalle e.V. desired a new annex to it's current neo-classical villa.

The villa is an object in the Bremen peripheral park system. It is designed in a neo-classical style. To solve the spatial and inner circulation problems within the new galleries we propose a series of helical spaces.

The form thus emerges out of the interior circulation system through the galleries creating a continuous path similar to a moebius strip between the old house and the new while remaining integrated within the surrounding park landscape.
