Docking Dunes are white sand dunes placed atop four interconnected barges docked in the Heyshaven area. The dunes are accessible via gangways leading from the dock.

The overall envisioned dimension of the landscape is 200m x 50m x 10m.

The dunes are set in continuous motion by coastal and shadow winds filtering through the harbor structures. This is to be a soft, inviting and floating public space lending itself to a variety of uses.

The nature of the materials' (sand) availability, economy and reusability lends itself particularly well to the surrounding environment and to a vision of a fluid dynamic architecture in its purist form. It is the slow but perpetual eroding quality of the dune that transcends a sense of peace within this busy landscape. It is a place to discover the sounds and vistas of the harbor through the sensual curves of nature set onto the backdrop of our silky blue skies.
