Gavin Brown's Enterprise
Gavin Brown one of the more influential contemporary art dealers in New York City relocated his Enterprise to Chelsea's meat market district in the late 90's. His post modern visionary style prompted him to create a bar quasi within the gallery, blurring the limits between the artists and the public; somewhat similar to the notoreous Bremer Gallery Bar in Berlin designed by Hans Scharoun in the 50's. The Passer-by bar is a colorful collage of light, materials, furnishings and grouppies.
