First of all, one must grasp the current cultural context of Clairvaux. What does Clairvaux have to offer us and what may we offer to its public?

Clairvaux is a 33ha property loaded with over 900 years of history; a European history of spirituality and civilization. It is from this point that we may imagine “creating” a proposal presenting pedagogical and cultural themes at European and International levels.

What would such a proposal encompass?

La densité et la complexité du lieu de Clairvaux offrent au département de l’Aube une chance exceptionnelle de voir naître sur un territoire marqué par l’histoire d’une abbaye et d’une prison, un espace nouveau de sens et de culture, avec une dimension départementale, régionale, nationale et européenne.

Une vision concrète est nécessaire pour permettre un tel engendrement. C’est une entreprise qui demande l’implication conjointe de divers partenaires partageant le désir d’aboutir à ce résultat. Ces réflexions voudraient proposer le cadre d’un projet qui valorise ainsi l’Abbaye de Clairvaux.

Tout d’abord, il faut comprendre le contexte culturel de Clairvaux aujourd’hui. Qu’est-ce que Clairvaux nous offre et que peut-on offrir au public à Clairvaux ?

Il existe un terrain de 33 hectares, chargé d’une histoire de 900 ans, une histoire européenne de spiritualité et de civilisation. A partir de là, on peut imaginer de « créer » un projet pédagogique et culturel à l’échelle européenne, voire internationale.
