CDMB Architects is an award winning design practice at the vanguard of architecture focusing on sustainable & performance driven spatial, social and ecological architectures.
Christophe DM BARLIEB founded the studio to collaborate with artists, architects and institutions in solving design and construction matters; and to pursue the research & development of conceptual architectures with computational design & performance based tools.
This small Berlin based studio collaborates with talented, inspiring and dynamic individuals employing interactive & procedural design tools, new technologies and materials to abstract the complexities found within the design problems and processes to arrive at meaningful architectural proposals.

This architecture celebrates nature. Writing extensively prior to establishing architectural representations gives us freedom in scripting the atmospheres of life to arrive at coherent design proposals. The architectural narratives convey emotional and rational experiences, create myths and define possible cultures. The ideas lead to discoveries, inventions of new flexible architectural forms, functions and histories inherent to their sites and times.
Knowing the problems and the apparent solutions to questions is something we distance ourselves from. We are fascinated by the thin red line connecting the dots leading towards the unknown. The projects are somewhat epic journeys meant to stir minds and inner spirits. It is our belief that architecture can lead to healthier lifestyles. We willing converse with neighboring and distant disciplines to generate new thought and discourse, perpetuating the search for the universal chords and harmonies that shape beauty and mystery.
